Cement-based Pervious Concrete Adhesives

The pervious concrete is a kind of porous lightweight concrete mixed with crushed stone, cement, cemedin, paint and water. It does not contain fine aggregates. It consists of a thin layer of cement paste on the surface of coarse aggregates to form a honeycomb structure with evenly distributed pores.

Materials required before construction of pervious concrete

Stones: Procured near the project site, clean single-graded stones with uniform particle size.

Cement: Procurement of Portland cement above the 42.5 mark near the project site

[Pervious concrete cemedin]: package (20kg/bag); dosage: 8-10kg/m³

High water permeability, high bearing capacity, decorative effect, easy maintenance, strong freeze-thaw resistance, high heat dissipation

[Colorful road pigment]: packaging (25kg/bag); dosage: 6-10kg/m³

Recommended dosage is about 0.2kg/m².

It can effectively improve the durability and beautification effect of the pervious concrete surface, the color is adjustable, the construction is simple, and the airless sprayer is used for spraying. It can also be used to seal the embossed floor surface and beautify other floor surfaces.

Preparation and construction steps of pervious concrete

[Mixing]: The viscosity of the cement slurry in the pervious concrete mixture is relatively large and the amount is small. In order to facilitate the cement slurry to be evenly wrapped on the aggregate, a strong mixer should be used, and the mixing time should be more than 5 minutes.

[Pouring]: Before pouring, the roadbed must be moistened with water. Otherwise, the rapid water loss of pervious concrete will reduce the bond strength between aggregates. As the mixture is relatively dry and hard, just pave the mixed pervious concrete material on the roadbed.

[Vibration]: It is not suitable to vibrate and compact strongly during the pouring process.

[Pressure transmission]: After vibrating, solid steel pipes or light rollers should be further used to compact and flatten the pervious concrete mixing materials. Considering the consistency of the mixing materials and surrounding temperature conditions, multiple rolling may be required. The roller must be cleaned before rolling to prevent the aggregate from sticking.

[Curing]: Because there are a lot of holes, and it is easy to lose water and dry quickly, the curing is very important.

[Completion]: The wet curing time of the membrane of the pervious concrete is not less than 7 days, and finally a layer of special sealant for permeable slab is sprayed to make the look and feel perfect.
